San Antonio 410 Accident Today: A serious traffic accident on Loop 410 in San Antonio caused major disruptions for drivers today as emergency crews responded to the scene and authorities worked to clear the roadway.
According to reports, the crash occurred Wednesday afternoon along Loop 410 near Callaghan Road on the city’s Northwest Side. A pickup truck traveling westbound collided with another vehicle before vaulting over a guardrail and crashing into a tree along the frontage road.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the driver of the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police temporarily shut down portions of the roadway while crews assessed the damage and investigated the collision.
Earlier in the day, another incident also affected traffic in the area when an 18-wheeler crash forced the closure of the southbound ramp from Loop 410 to Interstate 37, prompting officials to urge drivers to use alternate routes.
Loop 410, also known as the Connally Loop, is a major beltway surrounding San Antonio and carries heavy daily traffic, meaning even a single crash can quickly lead to congestion and delays across the city’s highway network.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about the cause of the crash, and investigations remain ongoing. Motorists traveling through the area were advised to proceed with caution and expect delays while crews continued to clear the scene.
